Niagara Bottling hires Rayne Thompson as its new Vice President of Legislative Affairs

JDG and Niagara are pleased to announce the selection of Rayne Thompson as their new VP of Legislative Affairs. Ms. Thompson, a former Obama Agency Administrator, previously served as a senior executive for Government Relations and Sustainability for Sunkist Growers. She has over 20 years of experience in removing impediments to getting product to market through state and federal legislative and international trade policies, federal procurement, sustainability, packaging, PAC administration, and obtaining federal funding.

In addition to serving as Administrator at USDA, she also worked across the aisle as the Deputy Secretary at California Department of Food and Agriculture under Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. She is effective at defining a strategy and bringing together a coalition of divergent interests and the government to resolve hurdles to doing business. Recently she co-led a coalition for the bipartisan passage and enactment of Federal legislation, Ocean Shipping Reform Act, to relieve supply chain congestion. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, MD.
