JDG completes Executive Director search for the U.S. Army Materiel Command

JDG and the U.S. Army are pleased to announce Ryan Samuelson as its new Executive Director, Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Transportation Engineering Agency and the Director of the U.S. Transportation Command’s Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center. Mr. Samuelson, a retired Air Force Brigadier General, is a dynamic executive with three decades of distinguished leadership, integrating Agile/Lean best practices with engineering, resource allocation, budget control, acquisitions, aviation, logistics and supply chain management expertise to plan, execute, and deliver critical, concurrent projects and initiatives across 35 countries within the Department of Defense. He is an operations expert and visionary, employing precision and analytical acumen to drive transformative solutions in fast-paced military, government, technology, aerospace, and defense sectors.

In his most recent role as Deputy Director of Strategy, Plans, Requirements and Programs, he led a 155-member cross-functional team, uniting experts in program management, force structure planning, programming, doctrine, engineering, finance, operations research, and logistics to enhance air refueling and airlift capabilities. He collaborated with Boeing, Air Mobility Command, the KC-46 System Program Office, Air Force Sustainment Center, and 9 Air Force bases to drive innovative strategic planning for advancing national defense objectives. General Samuelson earned his Masters in Military Strategic Studies at The United States Air Force.
