JDG completes search for AOC’s Assistant Director, Facilities Planning Branch

JDG and the Architect of the Capitol are pleased to announce the selection of Chris Pechacek as its new Assistant Director, Facilities Planning Branch. Chris is a Senior Architect/Planner with over 20 years’ experience in facilities lifecycle management for large and complex organizations. He has initiated 16 master plan studies to identify, coordinate, and implement decades-long investment programs in high-profile markets located in the United States and overseas. He has been responsible for planning, development, and prioritization of $4.3 billion major investments, including new construction, repair, and alterations for 79 million square foot (sf) global building portfolio. Chris is experienced in developing renovation projects for aged facilities and consideration of historic preservation interests. Prior to joining the AOC, he was the Deputy Chief, Capital Strategy Management Branch and Supervisory Architect for the Defense Health Agency. He earned his Master’s Degree in Architecture Studies from MIT.
