JDG completes Associate Director, Healthcare Economics search for the American Academy of Dermatology

JDG and AAD are pleased to announce the hiring of Jillian Winans as its new Associate Director of Healthcare Economics. She has a passion for healthcare policy and strong experience with Medicare physician payment. Throughout her prior roles, she has learned the importance of effective communication, time management, and maintaining strategic relationships to advance priorities and achieve desired outcomes. Prior to joining AAD, she worked at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) where she actively monitored and influenced Medicare reimbursement policies at the federal level that impacted anterior segment surgeons and their practices. She has successfully developed thoughtful and thorough comment letters to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that have influenced Medicare payment policy and advanced ASCRS priorities. In addition, she worked closely with the American Medical Association (AMA)/Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) and ophthalmic societies on coding valuation. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon College.
