JDG completes Executive Director search for EMDRIA

JDG and the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA) are pleased to announce the selection of Michael Bowers as its new Executive Director.  Prior to joining EMDRIA, Mr. Bowers served as CEO of the American Physical Therapy Association.  Before that, he was the Executive Director of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy for over 25 years.  There, he successfully advocated for  and advanced the profession of marriage and family therapy in state and federal recognition, private payer acceptance, and consumer awareness.  He is trained as a marriage and family therapist and has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Harding University.  He is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives.
