JDG commences search for IBWA’s Director of Science and Research
JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) to identify its Director of Science and Research. Founded in 1958, IBWA is the authoritative voice for the bottled water industry. With a membership comprising U.S. and international bottlers, distributors, and suppliers, IBWA unifies and represents the bottled water industry and its uncompromising commitment to the safety and availability of bottled water. Reporting to the Vice President, the Director of Science and Research monitors publications and electronic information resources for water research activities in government, industry, and academia. The Director collaborates with the Vice President to negotiate contracts for research activities, including retainers and expenses for approved technical consultants as well as oversees work of research projects and technical consultants.
Required/Preferred Experience:
- 5-10 years working in one or more of the following disciplines: environmental science, environmental engineering, biochemistry, chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, physiology, environmental health, or related disciplines.
- Industry or government experience in food, beverages, or water desired.
- Working knowledge of FDA regulations, USEPA primary drinking water regulations, and development of health-based food or water standards is useful.
