JDG completes search for Division Director, Federal Government Relations at the American Veterinary Medical Association

JDG and the AVMA are pleased to announce the selection of Paul Gage as AVMA’s new Division Director, Federal Government Relations. Paul is a strategic and results-driven executive with over 25 years of experience in federal government affairs, policy advocacy, and campaign strategy and management. In his prior role as the Deputy Vice President of Federal Advocacy at PhRMA, he led impactful federal policy initiatives and served as the lead lobbyist for the House Democratic Caucus, driving legislative efforts in healthcare, drug pricing, and innovation. A former Chief of Staff for Congressman Kurt Schrader, he has a proven ability to manage congressional operations and staff, influence legislative outcomes, and advise top-level leadership on political strategy and public policy. Paul is known for cultivating strong relationships and building coalitions with key stakeholders across Congress, federal agencies, and industry groups to advance organizational priorities. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas.
