Earthjustice retains JDG to recruit Legislative Director, Courts, Justice, & Administrative Law

JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by Earthjustice (www.earthjustice.org), to recruit its Legislative Director, Courts, Justice, & Administrative Law. With its distinguished record of securing significant, lasting environmental protections through litigation and advocacy, Earthjustice’s mission is to protect people’s health, preserve places and wildlife, advance clean energy, and combat climate change. Earthjustice seeks a proactive, mission-driven leader to focus on its federal legislative and administrative advocacy efforts related to court integrity, the justice system, and administrative law in its Washington, DC office. This senior, externally facing role represents Earthjustice before Congress, the Administration, coalition partners, the media, and the public.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial cross-partisan political fluency, strong social intelligence, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing critical policy priorities. Key qualifications include:

• At least eight years of combined federal legislative and administrative advocacy experience.
• Familiarity and/or some knowledge and experience with U.S. environmental law.
• Strong communication, leadership, relationship-building, and coalition-building skills.
• J.D. highly preferred.
