Defense Health Agency retains JDG to recruit its Assistant Director, Support/Component Acquisition Executive

JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to recruit its Assistant Director, Support/Component Acquisition Executive (AD-S/CAE). With a budget of more than $55B, DHA is a Combat Support Agency that oversees the Military Health System (MHS) and delivers care to 9.6 million beneficiaries worldwide. This Senior Executive Service position reports directly to the DHA Director and sits within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Health Affairs. The AD-S/CAE is responsible for the full spectrum of support to the Military Health System (MHS) in the areas of Research and Development, Acquisition, Medical Logistics, and Contracting. As a result, the AD-S/CAE must ensure and sustain timely delivery of all services and items necessary to equip, operate, maintain, and contribute to the optimization of health service support for successful mission performance across global military activities and operations. Key qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, including the Military Health System, TRICARE operations, and/or other federal healthcare programs, with senior-level expertise in legislative, regulatory, and business policies governing contracting, financial management, and logistics.
• Senior-level experience in acquisition, program, or contract management, with proven ability to evaluate acquisition investment performance, manage budgets, develop business cases, report results, and lead strategic planning.
