JDG commences search for PPPL’s Head, ITER Project
JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab (PPPL) to find its Head of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) Project. PPPL, a world-class fusion energy research lab managed by Princeton University for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science, is dedicated to developing the scientific and technological knowledge base for fusion energy. As PPPL’s Head, ITER Project, the selected candidate will lead the design and fabrication of ITER’s Diagnostic Systems for which the U.S. is responsible. This dynamic and exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to be an influential part of the largest global fusion experiment. Moreover, s/he will be able to grow and advance international research initiatives, lead engineering projects, and influence the most complex fusion facility ever built. Critical to success in this role includes:
- Advanced degree in physics, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 15+ years of experience leading and managing complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects of $25M+.
- Ability to effectively deal with a variety of subcontractors, ensuring successful achievement of project milestones.
