JDG commences search for NOAA’s Director, Office of Satellite Ground Services

JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) to assist in identifying its Director, Office of Satellite Ground Services (OSGS).  OSGS, the single organization for planning and execution of all common ground services, plans, acquires, develops, integrates, transitions to operations and sustains common ground services for NOAA’s environmental satellite systems.

Reporting to the Deputy Assistant Administrator, the Director of OSGS will serve as a key senior official within NESDIS for planning and execution of all common ground services across all satellite and data acquisition programs.  The Director will lead and oversee the analyses of satellite ground services support and requirements while working with the Director of Systems Engineering, to define and design satellite systems, and acquire, transition, and sustain operational activities for new and existing satellite ground systems.
