JDG initiates Controller & Director of Finance search for a prestigious, mid-sized law firm
JDG has begun the search for a prestigious, mid-sized law firm headquartered in Montgomery County, MD, providing representation in a wide-range of areas including litigation, family law, employment law, employee benefits, financial services, corporate, trust and estate planning and administration, health law, real estate and tax.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the firm and its accounting department, including direct oversight of a small team of personnel. The person in this key role will be an integral member of the firm, by working directly with the firm’s senior leadership in developing, advising on, and implementing processes and procedures that fully capitalize on the firm’s business model and maximizes the organization’s profitability. In conjunction with the firm’s outside accounting firm, this person will prepare annual financial and capital budgets, monthly financial statements with written analyses and provide trending financial results on an on-going basis. S/he must have the ability to explain and present highly technical financial information to a variety of audiences in easily understandable terms. S/he must be customer service oriented with an inherent desire to work in a cohesive, team environment.
