JDG begins search for the Department of Energy’s Director, Wind Energy Technologies Office

JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) to find its Director, Wind Energy Technologies Office (WETO).  Reporting to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Power, the Director, WETO will lead a $130M planning, research, development, and deployment portfolio, provide significant contributions to the goals of EERE and support DOE’s strategic planning goals for science and energy.  

Critical to success in this role includes:

• In-depth knowledge of the theories and practices related to wind energy technologies and their deployment, through direct programmatic, academic or industry experience in wind energy or related energy fields.
• Senior-level management experience that includes managing, directing, and implementing an innovative, impactful multi-disciplinary research, development, demonstration, and deployment program that advances wind energy, renewable power, or local or national energy goals.
