JDG completes search for Chief Counsel of the Loan Programs Office within the Department of Energy
JDG and DOE are pleased to announce the selection of Herb Glaser as the new Chief Counsel of the Loan Programs Office. Mr. Glaser’s career has been characterized by a diversity of federal government, corporate and law firm experience, at progressively greater levels of responsibility. Beginning early in his career, Herb has led teams providing legal support, both in-house and as outside counsel, in numerous domestic and international energy project financings. He has provided support for virtually every type of participant active in infrastructure finance, including public-sector lenders such as DOE and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, private banks and other lenders, project sponsors, borrowers, service providers and construction contractors. He was the Managing Partner of Haynes and Boone’s Washington, DC office as well as served as Chair of the firm’s project finance practice. He has been involved in energy project financings in a variety of areas, including coal, natural gas, wind and solar. Mr. Glaser earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
