Responsibilities:
• Manage the Firm’s Enterprise Architecture practice – including development of processes and procedures required for the efficient operation of the practice, which includes:

• Build a practice with superior understanding of both Federal & Commercial EA principles:
o “As Is”/”To-Be” architecture definition
o Program sequencing and transition planning
o Performance metric definition & management
o SOA definition & management
o Technical architecture definition & management

• Represent BRMi’s capabilities to both clients and potential partners:
o Member of Federal/National EA practitioner groups
o Conference presentation of EA capabilities to both federal and commercial audiences

• Recruit and develop EA staff including:
o Develop training & certification plans for staff to increase their understanding of EA
o Work with BRMi recruiting to source/select candidates

Competencies include:

• Leadership – Demonstrated leadership with an ability to conceptualize, develop and drive business development opportunities. He/she will demonstrate the ability and willingness to collaborate across organization lines to meet broader business objectives.

• People Development – Demonstrated competency in achieving business outcomes working directly with clients as well as through BRMi team leadership.

• Client / Market Development – Demonstrated ability to leverage client relationships to sell and capture new work, with a demonstrated competency across all phases of the business development lifecycle. Strong client relationships in the federal market are beneficial.

Requirements:
• 10-15 years experience within a professional services environment. Strong consulting skills including:
o Analysis of client problems/issues
o Development of recommendations for resolving client issues
o Providing sound oral and written communication with client management

• 8 or more years of program management experience:
o Management of a horizontal practice in a professional services environment
o Highly-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to negotiate with all levels of management
o Proven success in developing and managing client relationships along with strong execution to ensure excellent delivery

• Strong functional knowledge to include:
o Knowledge of government Enterprise Architecture models (i.e., FEA, FSAM, EAAF, CEAAF, Zachman, etc.)
o Experience analyzing, designing, and managing an organization’s business processes
o Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) utilizing Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and associated tools
o Real-world experience in full systems development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies (i.e., more than a theoretical background)

• Visionary thinker and thought leader with a pragmatic approach to execution
• A self-starter with a charismatic customer service approach
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Education: B.S. or B.A. degree required; Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPP, MPA)

Location: Washington, D.C.

Compensation: Compensation will reflect the candidate’s experience level and professional history. It is comprised of a base salary (up to $175,000), plus attractive bonus, and company-funded retirement contribution.
